Blitzkrieg Premier & Open League Rules
Definitions
- Player - Participant of an event by The Plays.
- Team - A group of participants of an event by The Plays.
- Cheating - Use of a 3rd party application to obtain a competitive advantage against other Players.
- Bug Abuse - Intentionally using unintended features accidentally built into the game.
- Admin - Individual or individuals responsible for running an event by The Plays.
- Event - At least one match.
- Boosting - When one Player stands on top of another to gain access to an area of the map which is otherwise unreachable. This is considered Bug Abuse. It is allowed to stand on a Player’s head to peak over a certain position. Please note the Heaven boost looking over B site Liberation is not allowed.
1. Player and Team Conduct
- 1.1 All Players are expected to show the utmost respect to other Players and Teams.
- 1.2 All Players are expected to show the utmost respect to all tournament Admins.
- 1.3 Player nicknames which can be construed as being rude, vulgar or offensive are strictly prohibited.
- 1.4 Team names which can be construed as being rude, vulgar or offensive are strictly prohibited.
- 1.5 Player in-game avatars which can be construed as being rude, vulgar or offensive are strictly prohibited.
- 1.6 Team logos which can be construed as being rude, vulgar or offensive are strictly prohibited.
- 1.7 All Players are prohibited from Cheating or performing any Bug Abuse.
- 1.8 All Players are expected to be in the server and ready to play by the official start time as per the pre-agreed time.
2. Communication
- 2.1 All Players must be in the tournament Discord room, with at least one player available at all times. You can join our Discord at https://theplays.gg/discord
- 2.2 All Players must use their main account name (i.e. the name as it appears on their Mogul Arena or Steam profile) in-game.
- 2.3 If you wish to reschedule your match from the predetermined schedule to another time or date, you must first discuss with your opponent then seek approval from the Admin team via the #reschedule-requests channel on Discord. This channel is not a discussion channel.
- 2.3 Teams are responsible for contacting their opponents if they to reschedule matches. The expectation is teams contact each other at least 3 days prior to the match start time in this case.

3. Tournament Format
- 3.1 Team Size: 5 versus 5.
- 3.2 Region: Refer to tournament page
- 3.3 Group Stage: Round Robin BO3
- 3.4 Playoff Bracket: Double Elimination BO3
- 3.5 In the event of a tie in points, the following steps will be used to separate the tied teams:
- Points scored
- Point differential
- Wins among tied teams
4. Eligibility
- 4.1 Players on our banlist are prohibited from participating in this event.
- 4.2 Staff members of Mogul Arena, Bulkhead Interactive or The Plays are not eligible for prizing in this event. They may still compete, but cannot be involved in the decision of any match which is related to their own team’s performance.
- 4.3 A team must field at least 3 players from the region they are competing in (e.g. 3 or more NA players cannot compete as a team in EU tournaments). An exception to this can be given if the players are physically residing in the region in which they wish to compete and can provide evidence of that claim.
- 4.4 Players may only compete in 1 League per season (e.g. You cannot compete in Premier and Open, nor can you compete in both EU and NA).
- 4.5 Teams may only have 2 substitute Players in addition to their 5 starting roster Players. You can use your substitutes as many times as you wish. You may only substitute a Player during a map if there is a technical issue or personal emergency with the Player being replaced.
- 4.6 You may not add any additional Players to your Team roster beyond September 2nd 2019.
5. Player and Team Warnings
- 5.1 Players and teams found to be in violation in any of these rules are subject to the relevant punishment, at a Senior Admin’s discretion.
- 5.2 Penalty Points:
- No-show: 6 Points
- Lateness: 5 Points
- Using unregistered game account: 3 Points
- Using unregistered account name: 2 Points
- Abusive text chat to opponents: 3 Points
- Abusive text chat to admins: 3 Points
- Cheating: 12 Points
- Failure to communicate match reschedule: 4 Points
- 8 Points - 3% Prize Money forfeit
- 9 Points - 5% Prize Money forfeit
- 10 Points - 7% Prize Money forfeit
- 11 Points - 10% Prize Money forfeit
- 12 Points - Removal from the league
- Any Prize Money forfeited by other teams will be redistributed evenly between all remaining teams who finish in Prize Money positions for their respective league.
- 5.3 Players may appeal the above by sending sufficient evidence to backup their claims to appeals@theplays.gg at least 72 hours prior to participating in an event by The Plays.
6. Map and Side Selection
- 6.1 Teams will veto maps on Mogul Arena. Each team bans a map then picks a map, the remaining map will be the decider. Maps are played in the same order they are picked.
- 6.2. Map Pool: Coastal, Derailed, Liberation, Manorhouse V2, and Vanguard.
- 6.3 Teams will knife for side.
7. Match Settings
- 7.1 Game Mode: Wartide 5v5.
- 7.2 Scoring
- 7.2.1 First team to 13 rounds in regulation time.
- 7.2.2 First team to win at least 4 rounds (and 2 rounds ahead) in overtime (if required).
- 7.3 Premier League teams only: All matches must be played on servers provided by The Plays.
8. Post-match
- 8.1 The team captain or appointed team representative must report their match scores accompanied by a screenshot in the relevant score report location. The score report must clearly state which team won and the number of rounds each team received.
- 8.2 If you wish to request an opponent’s demo, you must notify an Admin with your reason for request no more than 5 minutes after your match has ended. Demos are only available on servers where they are enabled.
9. Broadcasting
- 9.1 All Events by The Plays are subject to being broadcast live or recorded. Players cannot deny broadcast access.
- 9.2 Players are allowed to broadcast their own Point of View providing there is a stream delay of at least 120 seconds.
- 9.2.1 Help the event grow by referencing it in your streams title and linking to theplays.gg.
- 9.3 3rd party broadcasters are prohibited from broadcasting any Event by The Plays unless given prior permission.
- 9.3.1 To obtain permission, please contact a Senior Admin on prior to the tournament check-in.
10. Technical Issues and Pauses
- 10.1 Players must immediately call out any technical issues they or their teammates are experiencing.
- 10.2 If a non-Player technical issue occurs (e.g. server issue) the round will be replayed. An exception to this is where the outcome of a round is already decided prior to it ended (e.g. there is not enough time to plant or defuse). Evidence of such will be required.
- 10.3 Each team has 2 pauses during regulation time and 1 pause during overtime.
- 10.4 A pause can only last up to 2 minutes.
The extension as well as the enforcement of these rules and the punishment in case a rule is broken are at the discretion of an Admin.
